Will the instant hand sanitiser and hand sanitiser liquid spray expire?

Hand antiseptic spray and cruelty free sanitizer are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), so it is required to set an expiration date. How is this time of cruelty free hand wash determined? Because the disinfection ingredient in the hand sanitizer is alcohol, alcohol is easy to volatilize with time and temperature. When the alcohol in the cruelty free sanitizer and hand and surface sanitizer spray volatilizes to less than 90% of the current content, the germicidal efficacy will not be as good as it used to be. This time is the estimated expiration date. The industry standard of private label disinfectant is 2 to 3 years before the expiration of hand sanitizer. Although the hand sanitizer may still work after hand antibacterial spray expires, the best way is to replace it once it expires, as its effect may become less effective.

What are the active ingredients in cruelty free instant hand sanitizer?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends using hand sanitizers that contain at least 60% alcohol from a trusted source. The higher the alcohol content, the better the hand sanitizer removes bacteria and viruses.

Surfactant. Surfactant is the main ingredient in the formula of hand sanitizer, and its basic function is to remove oil and dirt from hands and produce certain foam in order to clean up the oil quickly and thoroughly.

Fatliquor. Although the surfactant gives the hand sanitizer the basic cleaning function, it will also remove the grease from the skin while washing off the dirt on the hands, which will make the skin chapped, rough and inelastic, especially dry skin. Therefore, fatliquor can improve the skin feeling after washing. While cruelty free hand sanitiser does not add animal ingredients, choose other ways to protect the soft touch of the hands.

Moisturizer. Moisturizer is also an essential ingredient in hand sanitizer. It can leave a protective film after moisture volatilization on the surface of the skin to prevent or slow down the loss of moisture inside the skin.
